At last, the Newsday Marching Band Festival is finally here! Since 1963, Newsday has been gathering school bands to perform together. It is a thrilling event with crowds cheering, instruments playing, people marching, and plenty of well known music being played.
What is the Newsday Marching Band Festival? Look no further as here you will find everything you need to know about this festival!
Occurring annually, Newsday is a 3 day festival (October 17th, 18th, and 19th this year.) Marching bands from Nassau and Suffolk County come together to create a performance for all to enjoy. It always happens during the night, where parties and festivals truly come to life!
If you or anyone you know might be interested in coming to the next festival, you can buy a ticket online. Fifty percent of the proceeds made from ticket sales will go to each participating band. Next year, come stop by if you want to support the bands and see one entertaining show! Be sure to check Newsdays' social media if you want to see how previous festivals went!
The Music Pieces the HFC band played were "Born This Way", "Timber", and "Starships."
On the day H. Frank Carey is performing, a total of 13 bands will be at the festival, and the order is here:
