The drama production, “A Murder Is Announced” is underway! Here’s what cast members
have to share...
Thiara Acosta (Grade 11) as Mitzi:
Question 1: How do you feel about the drama right now?
Thiara: “It’s really great, it’s amazing. I think that we’ve made a very good environment between us (actors). A lot of us are very close to each other, we all talk. Everyone is working very hard on their role”
Question 2: What do you want to tell the audience about this drama?
Thiara: “I guess that, it’s a really good show. It’s amazing, it’s like a murder-mystery. It’s very fun and I feel like people can really fall in love with the characters. Including mine, obviously, she’s very sassy. I think everyone should go see it!”
Ashton Velasquez (Grade 11) as Edmund Sweetenham:
Question 1: How do you feel about the drama right now?
Ashton: “I’m feeling pretty good about it. It’s pretty fun, I like it”
Question 2: What do you want to tell the audience about this drama?
Ashton: “Please come! It’s a murder mystery and it’s British, which might turn you away but you should totally still come cause it’s funny and it’s a little serious, a little dark. If you like dark comedy— it’s pretty nice. It’s funny. Hah Hah.”
Emma Scheidling (Grade 10) as Julia Simmons’s understudy:
Question 1: How do you feel about the drama right now?
Emma: “I think it’s very interesting, I love the plot. There’s definitely a lot of plot twists, which I love.”
Question 2: What do you want to tell the audience about this drama?
Emma: “I want them (the audience) to be as engaged as possible because I think that this is a very good play, and you know, it’s a murder mystery.”
Alex LoBue (Grade 11) as Letitia Blacklock’s understudy:
Question 1: How do you feel about the drama right now?
Alex: “Alright, in my opinion...I kind of love it! My personal opinion. It can get a little confusing if you don’t pay close attention to it, so pay close attention to details. But, you know, it eventually all comes together in the end.”
Question 2: What do you want to tell the audience about this drama?
Alex: “Come see it! Come on, come see it!
Edward Silverman (Grade 11) as Patrick Simon’s understudy:
Question 1: How do you feel about the drama right now?
Edward: “I feel it’s great, it’s going great!”
Question 2: What do you want to tell the audience about this drama?
Edwards: “It’s gonna be very fun!”
Joveria Hasnat (Grade 11) as Miss.Marple’s understudy:
Question 1: How do you feel about the drama right now?
Joveria: “It's going really well actually. I’m really excited. Like, it’s so fun to watch the behind the scenes, especially when we do our accent work. It’s very, very fun.”
Question 2: What do you want to tell the audience about this drama?
Joveria: “I hope they (the audience) all attend because it’s the first time that there’s so many
accents, well it’s only like Russian and British. We get to speak in it and really immerse
ourselves in the role.”
