Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team on their 3-1 win against Bethpage
during their Pink Out Game!
The Varsity Girls Volleyball Team had their annual Pink Out Game at H. Frank Carey High School on October 10th, 2023 to spread awareness for breast cancer awareness month. Everything was pinked out and ready for this win, which did not disappoint!
After a long 27 minutes, Carey High School secured their first win against Bethpage with a score of 25-23. Spirits were high, cheers were loud and the great play continued into the second set with the Lady Seahawks coming out on top once again with yet another win, a score of 25-21 in 26 minutes. The third set would determine the ending of the game, but the Eagles decided that they wouldn’t let it end there. Bethpage made their way to winning the third set, beating Carey by 7 points in 23 minutes.
Tensions rose as the game entered its fourth set. Everyone was tired and worn out from the previous three tough sets; however, that was not enough to extinguish the fire and drive that ignited the Lady Seahawks’ determination. Hits were harder and digs were deeper. The court got louder and rallies got shorter. Everyone was wondering if a fifth set would follow, but before that thought could progress any farther, Carey ended the game with victory. The Varsity Girls Volleyball Team won the final set with a score of 25-13 in 21 minutes, officially concluding the 2023 Pink Out game!
