The Carey Seahawks traveled to James M. Shuart Stadium, the stadium of the Hofstra
Pride, to take on Manhasset in their second playoff game. Manhasset had the ball to start off the game, but they had a turnover on downs. On Carey’s first drive, quarterback Christian Boswell ran it into the end zone on a QB sneak, making the score 6-0 Seahawks, which would be the score at the end of the 1st quarter. On Manhasset’s next drive, Matteo Tufano forced a fumble that got picked up by Justin DiPietro, but the Seahawks would end up fumbling the ball, where Manhasset would pick it up. Manhasset, however, was forced to punt, but Carey had a turnover on downs. There would be no scoring in the second quarter, as the Seahawks would lead 6-0 at halftime. Carey had possession to start the third quarter. But Manhasset would get an interception to have the ball at the 9 yard line. However, Jojo Spano got an interception after Manhasset was not be able to get into the end zone on 3 plays, which gives the Seahawks the ball on the 49. Will Tolliver would run it to the 27 yard line, and then run it into the end zone for a touchdown. Michael Vederosa would score on a 2-point conversion to make the score 14-0 Seahawks, which was the score at the end of the third quarter. Manhasset would have the ball on the 16 to start the fourth quarter, but they got pushed back, forced to punt. However, the Seahawks would give Manhasset the ball back, only for the Seahawks to force a turnover on downs. Then, Manhasset took the ball back on an interception, where they scored with 36 seconds left in the game to make the score 14-6 with a block by Justin DiPietro on the extra point attempt. Manhasset would go for the onside kick, but Carey would get the ball. Carey would take a knee to run out the clock as the Carey Seahawks wins, moving on to the conference 2 finals vs Garden City.
