These games were a rush of emotions. We had the Chiefs upsetting the Ravens, 17-10 in a close game, and the 49ers had a record setting comeback victory over the Lions. These were my predictions:
Ravens vs. Chiefs, 17-10 Chiefs:
The Chiefs surprised all of us, as I thought the Ravens were going to get the win. But you can never count Patrick Mahomes out. The game started off with a 19 yard pass from Patrick Mahomes to his main guy, Travis Kelce to make the score 7-0. The Ravens would then tie it up with a great 30 yard throw from MVP Lamar Jackson to Zay Flowers. There was also a great play where Lamar Jackson attempted a throw, but it bounced off of a lineman’s helmet, where he would catch it and run it a bunch of yards down. In the 2nd quarter, Isaiah Pacheco would make a 2 yard run into the end zone to give the Chiefs a 14-7 lead, where Harrison Butker would then kick a field goal to make the score 17-7 at halftime. All the Ravens could do was make a field goal to make the score 17-10 Chiefs, which would be the final score, sending the Chiefs into the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in a row.
49ers vs. Lions:
This was a wild and historic game. The 49ers made a big comeback again, the biggest comeback in NFC championship history. The game would start off with a 42 yard run by Jameson Williams to give the Lions an early 7-0 lead. David Montgomery would then make a 1 yard rushing touchdown to extend the Lions’ lead to 14-0. Then, Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey would run it into the end zone to put the Niners on the board at 14-7. Then, Jahmyr Gibbs would make a 15 yard run for a touchdown, which would be followed up by a field goal from Michael Badgley to give the Lions a 24-7 lead going into halftime. After halftime, 49ers kicker Jake Moody would make a field goal to make the score 24-10. Then, after a catch by Brandon Aiyuk where the ball bounced off the defender’s helmet and into Aiyuk’s hands, Aiyuk would follow that up with a 6 yard reception in the end zone to make the score 24-17. Then, Christian McCaffrey would score his second touchdown to tie the game up at 24. Then, in the 4th quarter Jake Moody would make a field goal to put the Niners up 27-24, which would be Followed up by a touchdown run by Elijah Mitchell to make the score 34-24. Then, Jameson Williams would score his second touchdown to make the score 34-31, but that would be all, as the 49ers would make a 17 point comeback, the biggest in NFC championship history, to put the 49ers in the Super Bowl.
Who YOU wanted to win
I ran a poll of who some of the fellow Seahawks wanted to win. In the poll, I asked 40 random people who they wanted to win (not including me). Out of the people I asked, 32 people wanted the 49ers to win. That’s equivalent to 80% of people rooting for the 49ers. The ratio of people rooting for the Niners to the Chiefs was 4:1. I think this was because the Chiefs had a lot of success over the past few years, so they want to see someone new win. Obviously, being a 49ers fan, I’m going to want the 49ers to win, and I think they will win, but I’ll leave that up to you to decide.
