Fall Drinks

By Eva Stratakis

Finally, the best time of the year has come and you know what that means! It’s finally fall and there are so many different fall edition drinks to try! There are so many to choose from, from both Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts. Today I am here to give you honest reviews and my opinion on some of these fall Starbucks drinks, so you know what is worth trying and what not to waste your money on!

The first fall edition drink that I tried was the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. I got a size tall (size small) because I was unsure if I would like it. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. I wish I got a size venti (size large). This pumpkin spice latte was hot, but not too hot to the point you have to wait a while to start drinking it. It was the perfect temperature, and it had the best taste. It tasted exactly like what I imagine fall would taste like. It made me feel like it was autumn with the leaves all on the ground and 50° outside, even though I had it in 70° degree weather on a sunny day. It was perfectly sweet but not too sweet. It tasted just like pumpkin pie. The drink also had a small layer of a foam-like consistency that I would imagine pumpkin spice whipped cream would taste like. This is the perfect fall drink to have on a chilly fall day. Make sure you try it soon before Starbucks no longer sells it!

The next fall edition drink that I tried out is an Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato. It tasted amazing. It honestly exceeded my expectations. It tastes just like apple, and it’s just the perfect amount of sweetness. However, the apple crisp syrup was stuck to the bottom of the cup when I first got it, so you have to be sure that you mix the syrup into the drink well, before drinking it. If you don’t, you will end up drinking the syrup which is way too sweet by itself. It was the perfect combination of the taste of apple and taste of coffee.

Overall, both the pumpkin spice latte and the iced apple crisp oatmilk macchiato were both amazing fall Starbucks drinks that are definitely worth a try. I will say though, the pumpkin spice latte is hot and is best on a chilly fall day. The iced apple crisp oatmilk macchiato is obviously cold and may not be the best choice for when it’s cold outside. There is a hot version of this drink, called the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato. That may be a better option of this drink for a cold fall day. If you don’t mind drinking cold drinks when it’s chilly out, then the iced drink is perfect for you! It is really worth trying the Pumpkin Spice Latte and Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato from Starbucks before they’re gone!
