Qalib Martin, chosen by his technology teacher Mr. Schaefer, is this year's first Humans Of Carey feature. Qalib was chosen because of their outstanding work and enthusiasm in their 9th period tech class. Qalib, who was originally born in the Bronx, just moved here this year and the Carey family is so excited to welcome him and his two siblings into the community! Although Qalib was chosen by his “extraordinarily intelligent and kind teacher”, his favorite subject is French. He “loves being able to speak in different languages and it is a very good skill to have for jobs that require diverse communication”. Qalib comments that Mr. Schaefer, calling him “a calm and nice teacher that is willing to help his students in times of need”. Qalib hopes to become a tennis pro or take over my fathers business and become a mechanic. Carey wishes you the best of luck Qalib and congratulations on being this year’s first Humans of Carey Student Feature!
